Merville, France
In Merville (Hauts-de-France), an industrialist specialized in tank washing wanted to save money and reduce its ecological footprint. It recently opted for the Opticube to heat the 70m³ of water used every day by its process. . The installation of 1270 m² (divided into 4 fields) will annually produce 500 solar MWh, and will generate a 20.000 € saving each year. A very beautiful solar thermal reference s in the industrial sector, and a good proof that thermal solar has its place in the France!
The process
The Opticubes produce free green heat. It is conveyed to a heat exchanger, through which the cold water passes. This preheated water then passes through the customer's gas boiler.
The water reaches the desired temperature for the process. The Opticube strongly limits the use of fossil fuels, generating savings and rejecting less CO2.

Winner of the ADEME
The French Environment and Energy Management Agency (ADEME) regularly launches calls for projects to support the development of renewable heat in France.
It was in the context of the "Large Solar Thermal Projects" call that the Merville file was given to the ADEME. The project was quickly validated and is today a reference for solar thermal in France.
